WORDS HAVE MEANING

The Artists Synchroblog (May) – The Artists Synchroblog is a group of bloggers who post every other month on the same topic, sharing our experience or perspective. On alternate months we undertake a Pinterest Project where we each take inspiration from a pinterest picture, create something (art, a meal, a DIY project, etc) and then post about it.
I'm excited to have been accepted into The Artists Synchroblog group! May's Synchroblog topic is "WORDS HAVE MEANING." So we are all posting about words that have meaning to us. Maybe a favorite quote, some words of wisdom, a poem, something that speaks to you.
So, here's mine:
"She believed she could, so she did."

You've probably heard this one before. And it seems to be all over Pinterest and Etsy at the moment.
I like it. I like the possibilities it represents. I like that it reminds me to have more confidence in myself. It reminds me that I can accomplish what I set out to do. I can set goals and actually reach them — all things I really need to remember in my daily life, things I need to keep reminding myself.
Yes, I can do it if I try. I can make my small business successful. I can learn all kinds of cool, new metal and jewelry techniques. I can advance in my day-job. And yes, I can and will succeed in leading a more healthy lifestyle and eventually get to a healthy weight! I can even help inspire my family and friends to do the same! I need to remember that!
I hope you are inspired too! :)

Now, take a moment and visit the other bloggers and see their "words with meaning."

  1. This is a great mantra! So often I think the belief that it can be done makes the difference between success and falling short of a goal.

    1. Great idea Janice! I've been thinking of making an inspiration board for my studio. I was thinking photos, but this quote might have to go on there too. :)

  4. Oh these are words to live by, I love this quote and your idea about it. Being positive and believing in yourself is many times half the battle won.

  7. Very inspiring indeed. I admit I struggle with this one! It's easy to lose sight of what's possible sometimes. But there really is power in positive thinking and anything can happen if we stop with the negativity and limitations and start believing in ourselves! Great post, Amy! :)P.S. I think I already joined your blog and that's why I couldn't find the blue button ;) Oops. There goes my brain again!

    1. Thanks Liz!! I struggle with this too, big time. So I'm trying to remind myself that it is possible to do these things. I just need to keep trying and not give up! I know, easier said than done. But we just need to start with baby steps. And keep going. Thanks for taking the time to read my post, and for following my blog!! (((HUGS Liz)))

  8. I think that's a motto most of us could/should live by! I had a hard time coming up with a saying that wasn't just a cliche!
